Combining Two Events Creates an Exciting Celebratory Weekend for Monarch Nation
King’s College will welcome back hundreds of alumni and friends for the 2014 Homecoming/Reunion Weekend, Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28. The College will combine these two important alumni events, homecoming and reunion, into a fall weekend scheduled with multiple celebratory activities.
“After the tremendous success of King’s 2013 homecoming event, which enjoyed a 1,200% participation increase over the prior year, we looked for ways to improve the experience for our alumni and campus community,” said Freddie Pettit ‘96, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at King’s. “Incorporating reunion events into the homecoming festivities to create a fun-filled weekend of community celebration was a natural evolution. Based on alumni engagement leading up to the event, the weekend is sure to be a success.”
The weekend will include a special reunion and recognition of the Class of 1964, the members of which will celebrate their 50th Anniversary this year and be pinned “Golden Monarchs” in a special ceremony.
