King’s College Presents Empty Bowls Project Proceeds Check to DePaul Kitchen

Father John Ryan, C.S.C., left, president of King’s College, presents a check for $2,700 to Mike Cianciotta, right, manager of the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre.  The donated funds are proceeds from the College’s involvement in Empty Bowls, a collaborative fundraising project that also involved Wilkes University, Luzerne County Community College, and Misericordia University.

Proceeds from the event were divided equally among the four participating colleges and each selected a resource in its community that addresses hunger.
